When most people think about sewer line replacement, they picture a large excavator tearing up their lawns. Unfortunately, traditional sewer repair can be quite invasive and requires extensive landscaping afterward to restore your property’s curb appeal. A much better solution is trenchless sewer repair.
Trenchless sewer repair works to restore your sewer line through underground repairs using methods that require minimal digging. This greatly minimizes the damage to your yard and landscape. There are two main methods of trenchless repair, each providing its own benefits.
The first method is pipe lining, also known as cured-in-place or CIPP repairs. This repair solution uses a flexible resin liner to cover the inside of your existing sewer line. Once in place, the resin-coated liner hardens and creates a leak-free interior for your existing sewer line. This can be a great solution for repairing cracks in outdated sewer lines.
Another method is pipe bursting, which essentially breaks apart your existing sewer line. As our machine with a bursting head breaks up your old sewer line, it will simultaneously pull a new pipe to replace the open space. This method leaves the old piping material below the surface.
Trenchless repair is ideal for sewer pipes with mild to moderate damage. Completely collapsed sewer pipes usually still need traditional trench repairs because neither the pipe bursting nor pipe lining methods will work. Our team of expert plumbers can easily assess your sewer line with a camera inspection to determine the appropriate repair process.
